Hey ya’ll

I just needed some advice on this issue my so and I have been having with our family. Currently expecting our first in two weeks and everyone is excited. Everything is great, but we wanted to set some ground rules for the baby and social media before she comes. My family is a bit obsessed with social media and posting, especially my mom. We on the other hand are quite private about our lives, no other reason other than we don’t like being present on social media.

So we had tried to have a conversation with our families about not posting baby’s photos on social media. Also making it a general rule to limit photos of the baby on social media and so on. Ofcourse my mom has to make a huge deal about it and starts being dramatic and hurtful. She’s accusing us of being selfish and saying things like “ it’s not only your child” LITERALLY, it is our child.

Honestly we just don’t want every aspect of our kids life on the Internet before they can decide for themselves. It’s an issue that matters a lot of my husband and I.
