Glucose testing

So I’m 28w1d, but baby is measuring over a week ahead and is already 3lb...I just had my glucose test done Wednesday and they called to tell me my sugar levels were elevated (157) and my hemoglobin levels were low (10. Something?)..so I have to do the second step testing for glucose which includes fasting, and testing every hour for 3 hours. I hate needles!! I’ve had normal blood pressure the whole pregnancy and I’ve only gained 7lb the whole time as well. Has anyone else experienced this and everything turned out fine? I’m not sure if this means I’m doomed to develop gestational diabetes or what, as I’ve not had much chance to discuss it with my doctor yet.
