Do mothers always have to do “first time” things?
Hey ladies! So my nephew (sister in laws baby) turned one today. My husband and I had the idea we would take him to the zoo a couple hours away so we could spent time with him because let’s be honest, HE WILL NOT REMEMBER GOING TO THE ZOO AS A ONE YEAR OLD. We had told his sister we wanted to take him and she had came up with the excuse he has to get his shots on Monday. That’s fine, shots are good. We said we could take him later next week. She came up with another excuse that he would be groggy for the next couple of days. So my husband finally just said, “if you don’t want us to spend time with him just say so” and she had then said that she wanted to take him to the zoo because it would be his first time going......
So pretty much I’m just trying to get some insight. I don’t see the big deal of taking a one year old to the zoo to spend time with him but she keeps saying that we will understand when we have children and want to do first time things with them. It’s alittle upsetting because we don’t see him much but what do y’all think about it?
