ER trip

Hi fellow August mamas. I wanted to share what I just experienced at 4 weeks post party’s..

If I already haven’t been put through the ringer with a gestational diabetes diagnosis during pregnancy, lots of sickness, labor resulting in a c-section and then getting an infection from my incision...

I was in the ER last night for severe abdominal pain. I thought maybe I pulled a muscle but the pain got progressively worse and they did a CT scan to check for appendicitis or gallbladder issues.. turns out I have diverticulitis (my mom suffers from it)

They have given me an antibiotic to hopefully take the infection from the diverticulitis away.

It was another whirlwind and my husband had to take our son home to give him a bottle of my frozen milk since I couldn’t nurse at the ER while I was having the test done.

I was so emotional having just had him a month prior and being back at the hospital was giving me lots of anxiety not knowing the outcome and if I’d have to have surgery and being away from my baby was so nerve wrecking.

We’re back home and will continue the healing progress.
