What to buy?

Hi everyone! So college, yay. What do I need to buy/bring for a dorm room??? I am looking up online lists but ugh, none of them say everything I can think of, much less everything I actually need to bring. Then there are always those wasn’t anticipated but were extremely helpful items.

- computer/tablet/laptop
- clothes for all four season (regardless of where you’re at, always lack just in case)
- desk lamp
- wall decor (pictures, posters)
- school supplies (usual stuff: pens, pencils, highlighters, markers, tape, glue, ruler, scissors, post it notes, flashcards, calculator, binder, folder, three hole punch, stapler)
- highly recommend a small file organizer for extra paper store — very handy for holding notes
- shoes
- hangers
- shoe basket
- personal items (medications, shampoo, conditioner, makeup, tampons/pads, etc.)
- socks, underwear 
- pillow top mattress!! (dorm room beds are hard as rocks!)
- bed spread, sheets, pillow, blanket
- nightstand
- hamper 
- fan
As I typed this, I scanned my dorm room for ideas 😂 Happy shopping!

Extra long twin sheets. Regular sized twin sheets will not fit the dorm room beds.
Blankets and pillows
A good backpack that will carry everything you need 
A good laptop and good pair of headphones 
Laundry hamper/bag (I suggest an over the door one or one that sits up but doesn’t take up too much room)
Towels and a shower caddy if the shower isn’t part of your dorm room, also shower shoes if the shower is shared by the whole floor
A durable, reusable water bottle
A fan if you don’t have AC if your dorm 
A sleep sounds app like Rain Rain to help you sleep no matter how noisy it is (the app is free!)
Hangers if you have a closet area
A power strip
Hand sanitizer and a vitamin C booster to help you from getting sick. 
See if your door has a microwave that you can use before buying one.
