How long after giving birth can you start to use soap down there ?

I know you have to use water after the bathroom but I forgot to ask the nurses how long after can you start to wash with unscented soap down there like I usually do

I made sure to be really gentle but I used soap 3 days postpartum. Idk if thats recommended or not, but I was feeling gross and needed some other than just water lol

I showered like normal the night I got home. I use dove. But I also didn't tear so I washed like I always do.

There really is no time limit, just your sensitivity and comfort level. Definitely go with unscented, as basic as possible, and make sure to rinse really well.
I was an L&D/Postpartum RN and most women wanted to feel like themselves again which often included washing as normally as possible. Just no baths until you’ve gotten the okay from your provider at that 6 week point.
