Circumcision issues?

Anyone else have their son circumcised and notice that some of the skin seems to have adhered to the head of the penis? We see pediatrician Thursday. It doesn’t look terrible or deformed, I just can’t fully see the head or “helmet” shaped portion of the penis due to some skin having healed to it.

You can put some Vaseline on it and wait about thirty minutes then gently pull down and see if it pops free. Or can soak in tub and do same. If you can’t get it to do so gently, just make an appt with pediatrician. Do not pull too roughly. Can cause more harm then good. When in doubt, make appt with doc.

You're supposed to push down at the base of the penis to help separate where the cut was to prevent adhesions... now they didn't tell us that with our first so he had adhesions. But as he grew they have mostly gone away from him standing attention most mornings lol

Mention it to your ped at the next appt. They can try to separate the layers manually while you are there. I could never do it that hard to my own, but our doc got them released (he was older when we had this issue). He said if he hadn't been able to do it, we would have discussed laser treatment 😬😔 So glad we didn't need to go there!
Just apply Vaseline and pull the skin back daily to prevent it from happening again (rarely it still will)

I am noticing the same thing. I have read some online that we were supposed to pull the skin back to make sure that doesn’t happen but my pediatrician didn’t say to do anything to it! Have an appointment for his 1 month tomorrow I will ask him to confirm it is healing correctly. Do you know what method they used for your son? Gomco or plastibell? I notice there are areas that look well separated and there are areas that seem attached, those areas have some of the white material (skin cells?) built up around it. I have also read that this white stuff is possibly causing the adhesion, I try to clean it off as much as possible.

Our dr advised rolling the skin back and wiping away and white build up until it healed and my sons is just fine now.

My pediatrician told me to slide down the skin and clean the tip regularly to prevent adhesions.
