Have you brought your kid with you to an ob appointment? (Not ultrasound just appointment)

My sister normally watches my son while I go in for my appointments but she works tomorrow and I don’t have anyone else I trust that can watch him while I go. I shouldn’t be getting a pelvic exam or anything but idk if it’s weird or annoying to bring a 2yr old with.

I take my 2 year old all the time. He knows that I’m pregnant and my obgyn is patient with him being there, she often catches his attention with the baby’s heartbeat. If he does happen to be having a bad day I usually have a snack handy or my phone so he can watch pj mask.

I prefer not to, but I’ve had to do it. I just put my son in a stroller, gave him a snack, and gave him my phone to watch a show. He stayed quiet and wasn’t a bother. But I wouldn’t let him run loose in the room. He’d be a terror.

It can be dangerous to you and your child if you are having a procedure  done. If there are knifes, scissors, or even a distraction to the doctor holding a knife or medical equipment when the doctor is trying to perform a procedure. 
Also if you are getting a pelvic exam, you aren’t watching the child (put them in a car seat if they are young enough) and the doctor is just examining you, the toddler can get into dirty medical waste, swallow small objects, etc.
I don’t recommend it during procedures or pelvic exams.

Ima stay at home mom with no daytime childcare help. So yeah my kid has gone to almost every appointment

Yes I always take my son, he’s 2.5. We use appointment days as a day for us to go out on a ‘lunch date’ after and walk around mall or target after that lol 😬😬 I put him in the stroller and he’s very behaved.

Ok take my 2.5 year old and 11 month old they sit in the stroller and I always bring a snack...food is great😂they get fidgety towards the end but I just tell them it’s almost tome to go and keep feeding them snacks haha

Sometimes if my son is hyper or getting into stuff the nurses that aren't busy will take him into the conference room and play with him until they get busy or until I'm done.
