Progesterone?

With my first baby I took progesterone... I wasn’t told much, I was just told my level was low and that was it. Didn’t know how much ( I asked ) or anything. I took it until 14 weeks. My question is, I’m pregnant again.. is there any other mamas who took it with their first and didn’t need it the second? I’m not sure if I even need it, I’ve been told lately that the doctor who gave it to me last time would often give it to his patients just to insure a safe pregnancy.... so has anyone got to have a progesterone free second pregnancy? Backstory: I have irregular periods although right before I got pregnant they started to become regular. Took 4 months to get pregnant with first baby, and then maybe a month to get pregnant with this baby. I’m super nervous and I am terrified I’m going to stress myself into a miscarriage and that is not what I want. :( also having mild cramping, I have been even before I got my positive.. in my lower back and it’ll come and go and the occasional pull here and there that feels like someone is jabbing my private area 😂😩
