Universal credit?

Hey guys - I’m on stat maternity pay and my husband works full time. (I did work full time until I went on maternity leave)
Am I entitled to any help? I’ve tried to apply online but if you clicked employed which I technically still am, it asks for your income which I’m obviously not on now!? I’m so confused!!!

There’s a really helpful calculator on entitledto.org that will tell you what you can get. 
I would think you’ll be able to get something, obviously depending on your other half’s income and housing costs. It’s something like £250 each + your local housing allowance (if you’re renting), less 63% of your combined income over a certain amount.
You should be able to put your salary in as zero and that you’re receiving maternity pay on the application, they will take your earnings from the HMRC anyway. Also you need a UC account to get the child element (previously tax credits) etc after baby arrives, so personally I’d get it set up now even if you’re not entitled to anything yet!

I applied for universal credit when my son was born, me and my partner had to go into the job centre for an interview and they explained it a lot better.
He works full time so we thought we wouldn’t get anything, however now I’m on SMP we get a little bit. It downloads your take home pay every month and deducts it from what you could get. 
It varies a lot though, I think we’ve had 5 months worth of payments and they’ve all differed immensely, very frustrating and you wouldn’t be able to rely on it to pay bills that’s for sure.

We were able to get universal credit, I worked full time and my partner still works. We applied online, they asked us to calculate our combined earnings so that was my maternity pay plus his pay. We qualified.

No you aren’t, you are employed full time by the sounds of it (even though you’re off on maternity leave).

I believe that goes off the last tax year so not your current wage. Me and my husband earn too much so we’re not entitled to it. 😑
I know the only thing we can claim is child benefit (£23 - or so - a week). Obviously you can’t claim that until baby has been born and the birth registered.
