When to tell immediate family

Question

So my boyfriend and I are on different  pages when it comes to telling our family members.  
  Thing is my dad is very sick with a incurable cancer.. so I'd like to tell him, but he wants to wait until I'm 7 MONTHS pregnant... which I  don't get at all.. 
 My mom and grandma know just because I've needed there help with things. But I feel  like I should  tell my dad....

Thats ridiculous to wait until 7 months. Seriously, I'd be pissed if my husband said that to me. Tell your dad today if you want!

I could see waiting tol your over 10-20 WEEKS. But maybe hes scared to tell people. Explain to him that invites for your baby shower should go out early so everyone had pleanty of time to get you all you need🙄. 7 months is too late. Id tell your father, even if he hates your bf... He deserves to know

Everyone will know once you start showing. I want to tell my mom once i hear the heartbeat and then tell others after the first trimester. I would say tell anyone whenever you want if they’re someone you would want to tell if heaven forbid something go wrong.

We told our parents and siblings immediately. I have my ultrasound on Monday and we will tell the rest of the family after the US as long as all is well with the baby. Then I’ll announce socially around 8 weeks, if I can wait that long.
Honestly, 7 months is a long time to wait. I think you should sit down and talk with him to see why he wants to wait that long. I’ve had 2 miscarriages so I can understand being scared/worried that something could happen. But your dad is terminally ill, he deserves to know he’s gonna be a grandparent!!

Tell your dad!!  I could maybe see waiting til the end of the first trimester. But not til 7 months. If he really wants maybe wait til then to tell others but for goodness sake tell your dad if you want him to know. 
This is silly but this is let of the reason I find out my baby’s sex ASAP. My parents are older and if something happened before baby was born to them I would want them to know.

I believe you should be able to tell your father, after about 4 months you’ll definitely starting show for sure....
