Is it weird for multiple cousins with same name?

I have a cousin who is my age, 25 named after our grandpa and now my husband and I are very close to naming our baby after grandpa too. My husband's grandpa in Guatemala has the same name as my grandpa. Our baby will be the first boy/great grandson on both sides of the family which is why we thought it would be an honor to do it for 2 great grandpa's.

I think it’s fine. There are so many Michaels in my family it’s hard to keep track of, between older ones, babies and those that have married into the family. They each have their own designator when we refer to them, like Mike, Mikey, little Mikey (funnily not the son of Mikey), Aime’s Mike, etc. So just maybe think ahead of a nickname that differs from the others.

My great grandfather’s name was Gabriel and when he passed a lot of my family started using the name for their babies. There are several with both first names and middle names. It’s fine and an honor.

I think the rules for family names are different. I literally have 5 cousins named John. We’re Italian and pretty unadventurous when it comes to names.
I always said if I had a son I would want to name him Joseph after my grandfather. Six years ago my cousin had a boy and named him Joseph, but that didn’t change my mind. We had our Joseph last year. No one found it odd, but we jokingly call them Joey Sr and Joey Jr.

Nope, my dad and his brothers all named their kids after each other. 
We all use the same names mixed with new ones as well.
