Drinks Better from bottle than breast
My DD is 11 days old. I am producing a lot more milk this time than I did with my first DD. (Which really just means I have milk this time LOL) I am getting engorged within a few hours time. DD is not “emptying” my breasts. She drinks 5 minutes from one, then waits about 10 or so minutes. Drinks 5 minutes from the other. Then we do that routine one or so more times before she falls asleep. But she is never satisfied and I nurse every hour. I just pumped 2 oz. 1 from each even after she nursed from both. I fed her from a bottle and she is out like a light and my boobs are relieved. Is it possible to get more relief from a pump than a baby nursing? I always thought it was the reverse. I hate to exclusively pump, but I’m wondering if that will work better for us.
Anyone exclusively pump? How often do I pump? How do u live being tied to a pump? Ok, that was dramatic, but that’s how I think about it :(
