Is it okay to ask your SO how often they watch porn?

Like, what if they watch/look at it all the time? What if they were addicted to it?

Sure it is ok to ask.. but you don't actually get a say in how often they watch, you just get a say in if a partner that watches that often is the right partner for you or not..
I don't really believe porn addiction happens even a quarter as much as it is claimed by partners. If a person has not been diagnosed by a professional as having a porn addiction I honestly do not believe they have one. Women and men alike throw around the term "porn addiction" to excuse watching porn, usually because the woman is against it.. so they both pretend it is an addiction, not a choice.
I've worked in the sex industry for a decade. I know lots of people who watch porn a lot. I've never met a person who I felt was legit addicted to the point they could actually be diagnosed as such..  I really think porn addiction is a very very rare thing and women use that as an excuse to try to make their men stop instead of just finding a man who shares their feelings on porn.
So, without a diagnosis I do not believe for one minute he is actually addicted.

I think asking specifically how often for no other reason is getting a bit nosy. And how are you defining addiction? Because a certain number of times per week isn’t necessarily going to tell you that. If you suspect an addiction, there are other factors (is it interfering with your sex life? Is it interfering with their daily life? Is it becoming harmful to them in any way?)

You can ask but be prepared for the answer. If porn is a deal breaker for you then that needs to be a topic that you discuss before you enter into a relationship with someone.
