What was one thing you disliked about your wedding?

I thought this might be fun! Maybe I’m the only person who will think so, though 🙈
This isn’t an “I hated my wedding” post, but a way to vent about what went wrong!
My best friend just got married and although her wedding was absolutely stunning, she had some of the most insane family drama I’ve ever seen happen right on the dance floor. It got me thinking about the fact that there is no such thing as a perfect wedding!
What was the one thing you hated about your wedding day?
Or, was there anything that went wrong at your wedding? 
On my big day, my dress was on crooked!!! I honestly couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw the pictures and realized my friends and family had let me walk around on my wedding day with my dress on crooked!
I was also missing more than half of my family at our wedding, which was massively frustrating because it was mostly planned for all the people who complained that we got married at a courthouse instead of having a wedding. For one reason or another most of them RSVPd no, and the rest of them didn’t show up day of.

It’s been a year since our wedding, and while I can honestly say it wasn’t even close to “perfect”. Our marriage, on the other hand, has exceeded all expectations.
Now I just think it’s fun to look back at the imperfections and laugh! 🙊

For me it was a beautiful day for putside weeding. Inside was all diy between me and my mom and she cattered almost 95% of it hubby family brought a few things, but what pissed me off was my family is small i get that but they didnt stay long ate said congrats and left but yet my other cousins wedding they all stayed till like midnight dancing and hanging out but nope not me and its always been like this favoritism in my family is strong sadly

My florist didn’t do my bouquet the way I wanted, but it was still beautiful! 
Also, it was unusually cold the week of and the fresh coat of paint on the 175 yr old floor didn’t dry completely and the best man got “stuck” in the damp, yellow paint! Ha!

Our whole wedding was DIY so the one thing I wish went better was my mom not cutting off the music in the middle of our first dance. The playlist was through my phone and she tried to use my phone to take a picture not knowing that it would cut the music. I wish I had requested more pictures from my photographer. My maid of honor/sister was also the first person to leave which pissed me off to no end. Other than that it was flawless and I loved every minute.

We had a small, cheap wedding. Which was cool! We didn’t even hire a photographer. So we had a family friend take pictures. But... she had her daughter do half of them and she took those cringey cheesy tilted angle shit photos 90% of the time 🙄 I wish we had hired a photographer. But oh well,  I have a few good ones. My favorite are the ones I took with my instax behind the scenes

The photographer didn’t get many family shots.
My sister/MOH died 2 months ago, and we have no photos just us too. Only one that a friend took from an iPhone.

About the actual wedding day, the reception hall didn't set up the tables properly. According to my seating chart my mom, dad and grandparents should have been in front of us on the right /center and my husband's family should have been on the left/ center. Instead the two front tables were both my husband's family.  Something that really gets my goat about the entire thing though is my husband's mother had the audacity to corner me at the reception but I didn't give her the time of day because I was trying to get ready for the walk in. So the following day she successfully cornered me when my husband was no where around to tell me how upset she was about the ceremony and how her younger children (who were not in the wedding) were not introduced during the bridal party walk in. 🤦🏻‍♀️ When I said I don't want to hear this she shut up but I heard from my husband's brother how she wouldn't stop all week about it. 4 years and 2 kids later none of his family is in our lives. ✌️✌️

Kind of a weird answer but I disliked the fact that I wasn’t able to live in the moment. We were engaged for 18 months so there was a lot of time leading up to our wedding and I think that created a lot of anticipation. I kept telling myself I was going to relax and try to enjoy the day and take in every moment but it’s true when everyone says it goes by so fast you can barely enjoy/remember it. It was the most beautiful day and everything went perfectly and exactly how I planned it but I’m a very type-A, detail oriented type of person so it was very hard for me to relax. I was so focused on what was next and having vendors come up to me every 15 minutes asking “is this okay” “is that alright” etc that I felt like I couldn’t really live in the moment!

The fact...
   That my father stormed out when I walked in with my pastor... throwing his jacket and slamming the door. 
 That my whole family wore BLACK to my wedding. 
 That the few pictures I have with them look like mug shots. 
Other than that... I Loved my wedding it was wonderful to see the love and support of His family and our friends.
