Did this happen to your baby after the cord fell off?

If so do you know why this happened or why it’s like this? And what did you do for it to get better? I’ve never had this happen to me with my 3 other kids

Clean it with rubbing alcohol pads and cover it with a dry cotton ball cover it with a band aid to help push it down

My second sons fell off at 5 days which we thought was pretty quick. It didn’t look fully healed ... doctor noticed it and instructed us to put a bandaid over it, gently pinching the belly button closed /covered with the bandage so it could continue to fuse together. 
We changed the bandaid every other day for a week and it was completely healed and beautiful.  
Used alcohol prep pad to clean around it. But not actually touching it.
