Would you get the laparoscopy surgery??

I went to the ObGyn today, because of pain with sex; super bad cramps that leave me on the floor in pain. And he told me I likely have endometriosis. It’s hereditary & my sister has it. The dr advice was “Just keep taking birth control” because it apparently helps with the symptoms... But apart of me wants to know if I have it or not, you know? The only way to know for sure is to have the laparoscopy surgery. Everyone in my family and my dr keep telling me “just don’t worry about it” “worry about it when you’re trying to get pregnant”... But I have had Pelvic Inflammatory disease & Cervicitis both fertility factors, and if I have endometriosis that’s 3.

Nobody is taking my concerns for my fertility seriously because I’m only 18, but If I know I have less of a chance, I won’t wait as long to have a child. I need some advice because nobody I know is helping. Would you get the surgery?? Or wait?
