What happens if we’re both controlling?

I’m a pretty controlling person in a relationship, and I’ve noticed my newish boyfriend is pretty controlling too. He likes to call the shots, but I’ve usually been the one in charge in my past relationships. Would this be bad in the future, or is it okay and not everything has to be dom/sub type thing?

Controlling isn’t acceptable in a relationship. It’s not “cute”. It’s abusive. Sounds like you are both too immature to be in a relationship

It might mean you both get to have a spicy relationship? 😂 I mean me and my partner were both head strong and butted heads on decisions/controlling situations but eventually found half way houses, he controls decisions/situations he enjoys and I do on the other foot, if that makes sense?

If this is causing arguments, then it won’t work. But if it’s more getting used to what each of you are comfortable with, it will take some compromise and good communication on both your parts
