How long are grocery store cookies fresh?

I’m doing basic cookies as my wedding favors, will be putting them in these kraft paper bags with our names on them. The cookies are just going to be basic sugar/chocolate chip cookies from Walmart or Publix, the kind that come in a plastic container (inserting picture). If I buy the cookies 2 days before the wedding and package them 2 days before, will they be fresh at all? Should I get tiny zip locks to put them in inside the kraft paper bags?

I’d do a test run. Buy some and see how they are two days later. The paper bag may also absorb oil from the cookies.

They'd be fine however I'd swap out the paper bag for a waxed paper type bag. That will help avoid the bag from pulling the oil out of the cookies.

They'll get hard😭 you can call and have them make you fresh ones maybe the afternoon before to pick up. The ones from public are made fresh daily and stay fresher longer but still will get hard unless in plastic. Maybe plastic wrap them put it in the paper?

I would go by the sell by date. I think the test run idea is good too. And do plastic bags or wrap them in something that can protect against oils
