Is $9,000.00 a good amount of savings?

I really would like to know. We had $20,000 the beginning of the year and it’s dropped drastically with life changes. I work full time and pay bills just feel like I should have more then that still saved.

Everyone has an opinion but honestly so many people can’t afford bills on a regular basis so I think the fact that you’ve saved this much is great.

That really depends on what the savings is for.
I have a savings strictly for emergencies like if I Iost my job. It covers 5 months of my total expenses. It does not get touched except to add to it. 
I have another savings that is for vacations. It goes up and down regularly. 
I have a savings for home emergencies such as a major appliance breaking. Unless they all break at once...then I'm fucked lol

What you should be aiming for is to have 3-6 months of all bills and expenses in savings. Literally 3-6 months of any money that leaves your account so say something happened and you or your SO couldn't work, all your bills and expenses would be ok for a few months.

Honestly, anything saved is a great start. The effort to even have a savings is great.
