Flu Shot?

My doctor recommended that I get the flu shot, especially since I’m in NYC and will be doing a lot of traveling in the upcoming months. She assured me that it is safe but I still have some concerns. Can anyone offer insight on this subject?

The flu can be fatal while pregnant, they suggest it to keep you as safe as possible from getting it.

My doctor recommended i get it, she asked If i wanted it today, I said yes, she said it’s good cause it protects me & the baby. Plus i’m in boston so you know the weather is crazy and cold!

Totally safe. There is NO valid research that shows any safety issues and LOTS of research that shows the dangers of getting the flu while pregnant. And even if you never get it normally, your immune system is compromised while pregnant. This means you’re more likely to get it and more likely to get sicker because you can’t fight it off.

I've never gotten the flu shot while pregnant and I will never receive the flu shot. But that's my personal opinion, I understand why other people get the shot.
