Fighting with my husband about pink hair UPDATE 1

Ok so here is that shade I’m talking about, not hot pink or neon

Anyways this has been on my bucket list since I was a kid. I grew up in a very controlling household and was never allowed to do these colors. I’m a stay at home mom so it’s not like I have an employer who would mind. My husband knows I want to do this, I brought it up a year ago and he wouldn’t let me. Last night turned into a blow up fight because he just doesn’t get it. He says he wants me to set a good example for our daughters with NO crazy hair ( which mind you I have NEVER had anything close to “crazy hair”) he says it’s not attractive or lady like🙄 I hate that he wants to control me and our daughters, I told him “ you cannot force anyone to fit inside your box, we will raise our daughters to be strong and understanding, and help them bloom into the people They are, not who you want them to be”

Like am I crazy? It’s hair...

oh the pink hair is definitely happening now😂😂😂

So two days after we had our fight, my husband took me aside and apologized for his comments. One of his comments was “ baby I love you so much, and I always want you to be happy. The pink hair has sunk in, and I’m totally cool with it now. You should go for it! And when the girls see it , and think it’s beautiful, well then when they are old enough , they should do pink too”❤️❤️❤️. For me, it was exactly what I needed it hear🥰. LOL Note to self , husband will be made aware of any new hair changes when he gets home.. and sees how fabulous I look🤣

Yesterday I started a new weekend job at a super chill place. While I wasn’t planning on working anytime soon, this just felt right. It’s definitely a nice change of pace for me, I’ve been a SAHM for 4 years. And being able to help out with the bills is good. Unfortunately my new boss isn’t crazy about “unnatural” hair colors. 😭 lol that would be my luck! Sooo I’m gonna get some overtone conditioner ,dilute it, and color it at the beginning of the week so it has time to wash out for work. I’ll definitely post pictures. 😍

And to address any negative comments ...

I love and respect my husband so much, he is a great dad, and works incredibly hard to make sure our family is taken care of , because of him I have the privilege to be stay at home mom. I very much value his opinions, but also don’t let him control me or our daughters. I have tattoo sleeves, and facial piercings. Some he met me with , most have been since we got together. Not all of them he was fond of, but supported me anyways.

A year ago when “ he wouldn’t let me color my hair pink” I also had been going through some pretty severe postpartum hairloss (seriously lost like half my hair😭) so I know it was more out of concern for my hair health then it was about the actual color.

My current hair color is platinum , pink will fade fast, and I went to beauty school, so I’m confident in doing my own hair. As for anyone thinking it looks unprofessional or trashy, thanks for the opinion ..
