1 or 2 embryos?

I just had my 1st appt before transfer in 3 weeks, and my dr asked me if I wanted to do 1 or 2 embryos, but she is telling me 1 is the way to go for my age and how healthy I am. And that’s what she is recommending! 
Can anyone give some feedback?

Keep in mind it’s not just raising twins that you have to consider. There’s an increased risk to you and babies with twins. And an increased risk of triplets if one of those divides. If you can afford to do more transfers (if needed) I would highly recommend only transferring one at a time if that’s what the doctor is suggesting for your age and health. Obviously at the end of the day it’s between you, your doctor, and your partner.

I’m leaning more towards transferring 1, the only thought I have right now is “WHAT IF it doesn’t work out” but I think that’s normal and on the other hand I don’t think I would want to put myself at risk for twins etc. 
I’ve just been so anxious, I just hope and pray that this transfer goes well! 🤞🏽

Our first round we put in 2 non PGS tested 4bb blasts and one stuck. Our doctor had recommended one, but we just didn’t want to take the chance of not having the one we chose stick. My doctor knew that I’m a NICU nurse and well aware of the risks that can come with multiples pregnancies. He ultimately didn’t argue too much with our decision.
Our second round (after another retrieval), we transferred 1 PGS tested 4aa blast. We felt that this was also the best decision for us, because we knew they were normal embryos, the quality was good, and there was a higher chance of both sticking if we were to transfer two.
You just have to look at your situation and decide what is best! We chose 2 different routes both times, and both times it was perfect for US!

I think implantation rate is higher if you are younger. So if you are in your early to mid 30s, implantation rate is higher. I’m 38 and my first non PGS transfer (but AB grade) did not implant. This was a fresh transfer. I’ve got two more frozen embryos, but I’m also wondering whether to transfer one or two next time. I’m worried about the risks even though I am a lot older. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Even transferring 2 your chance of them both implanting is only 35-40%, if that helps your decision.

If ur ok with having twins, go for 2 embryos. If that thought scares you, go for 1. I did 3 FETs with 1, transferred 2 this time.
