PCOS?

So one of my best friends recently was told to make an appt with a specialist for testing because they say she has a lot of the symptoms to have PCOS. She’s never even had pap before, she’s 23, and a virgin. She’s super heartbroken at the thought of never being able to conceive. Any ladies with a similar situation or has PCOS and been able to conceive??

Im with PCOS and I got pregnant twice .... just tell her to follow the dr orders ...... AND EAT HEALTHY ..... and reduce weight if she is overweight....

PCOS doesn't mean you're infertile but it can make things harder. I have PCOS and did need the help of some medication to regulate my ovulation and it did take some trying but I now have a beautiful baby girl 😊
There's still lots of hope. Don't be too discouraged!

It takes time everyone with pcos don't share the same symptoms some have periods every month some don't which we don't ovulate I have periods 4x a year it took me 3 years I'm due in 3 days to have my baby but to start and stop a period when I'm bleeding to much I take provera

It’s estimated that 15-20% of all women in fertile age do have PCOS some have all the symptoms in the book, others just a few (numbers depending on what study you read). So with the right timing/help/medication it’s possible for most of them to have kids. Though it might take a bit longer than for women without pcos. I myself have one son, pregnant with number two, both conceived naturally with no medication or medical help.

I was diagnosed with PCOS, told I would never have children, and am on pregnancy #2. I’m insulin resistant and taking metformin got me pregnant not even a month later. Baby 2 was planned with the help of metformin.
