worried about a friend

so me and a friend have been mates since we were like 11, and were still really close etc, but we go to different school. why I'm worrying is, we were having a heart to heart, and he mentioned to me that he's being threatened... and I mean like someones threatening to bash his skull in. I don't know what to do can anyone help me please. he's such good and selfless person, he doesn't deserve this.
