Unisom? Benadryl?

Question

Anyone taking unisom or Benadryl for sleep? I believe both are safe, need to double check with my doctor. I have a ton going on right now and I'm not sleeping. I could reallllllly use a little (safe) help.

Yes they are. I’ve been taking Benadryl and it’s not helping so my dr told me to try taking 2. Hopefully it works. I’m going to try it tonight.

You can take Benadryl (Diphenhydramine) or a sleeping aid that is made with Diphenhydramine. Both will have the same effect and my doctor approved them for my sleeping issues.

I think it’s rare that it doesn’t work for someone but unisom does hardly anything for me. And I’m jittery and anxious the next day, I’m having horrible insomnia.. I’ve only slept 2-3 hrs a night for the last 4 nights so am looking for a solution too.

I take unisom. I dbl checked with my ob nurse about taking it every night and she said that’s fine. It also helps with nausea.   But still check with your dr
