PCOS want to get pregnant

I was diagnosed with PCOS last year. I actually haven’t seen my doctor since I was diagnosed because I was just afraid of more bad news. But I have to start this process because my acne has gotten worse my weight gain has been a lot this year. My last check up on my ovaries my doctor said they where fine I was ovulating which was good. But that was the only thing he suggested that I get on birth control to regulate my period. Any tips for me trying to pregnant? Should I also get a new doctor as in a fertility doctor. Also I do have one son from before I was diagnosed so is there hope for me ? Thank for reading
