Proceed or another retrieval?

We just found out we have two 5-day blastocysts that tested normal in PGT-A testing and need to decide whether to proceed or do another retrieval to freeze more. I’ll be 40 in April so this may be the last shot. We already have a son and I believe could consider our family complete with 2, but both hubby and I like the idea of having the option to have 3 kids maybe. I’m 90% sure we should just proceed with the FET in November, but a tiny part of me wonders if I’m rushing and could regret it later. I wouldn’t be able to do another retrieval until January. But then I also think I’m just being greedy and should just appreciate the blessings we gave. What do you think?

Had to make the same decision recently and we decided to try another retrieval. I am 35 and have poor egg quality. Currently have one frozen blast (no pgs). I really want to get to the transfer and I had the same feelings about another retrieval being greedy, but I was not ready to let the possibility of having two children  go (even though I know it is a stretch.) That is why I decided to go for another retrieval. 
Go with your gut. There is no wrong answer here. And if you end up going for the retrieval in January, it is only a couple months delay... Think of it as an opportunity to get through the holidays without the crazy pregnancy hormones.

I’m 35 and my first retrieval we only got one embryo that made it to blast. I wanted to do another retrieval before FET, but insurance wouldn’t cover it. So we did our transfer on Saturday and will wait and see. My silver lining if it doesn’t work is that maybe we’ll get more blastocysts next time (even though I’ll be super disappointed if this one doesn’t stick). We want two kids and I’d rather the embryos be as young as possible next time.  
So if you have the money/insurance to cover it, I would probably do another round. But it’s a hard decision.

I think you should what you emotionally need and what you financially can afford. How will you feel if one of your embryos doesn’t take? Will you always regret only having one left? Or will you be okay with that to be able to have your second baby sooner? There’s no right or wrong!!
