When do you consider your child officially able to sit up on their own?

My 4 month old can sit up on her own for about 5-10 seconds before falling over. In my head, I don’t consider this sitting up yet but I’m curious to hear what amount of time others count as sitting up independently.

When they no longer need their hands to keep themselves upright.

I think when they are able to sit up without falling to the side within seconds so you can happily leave them sit without knowing they are about to topple xx

When they can sit up with support of their hands. That's a supported sitter. When they no longer need any support from their hands or anything against their back, then they're completely a sitter.

If I can leave him for a minute and he won’t topple over or need to prop with his arm.

Our little sat up by himself at 3 months. He was able to support his own head holding it up; and he didn’t have to rely on someone holding him upright. 
Our Littles always been a early on his milestones; he had himself propped up in the hospital bassist holding his own head up the day after he was born. An within those 4 days in the hospital he was already turning onto his side and unraveling himself from the swaddles.
