Swatty arms and kicking constantly while nursing

My 5 month old baby swats his arms up and down constantly like a flying bird which is slapping me in the face, chest etc. at the same time he kicks me or pushes off my body over and over with his feet, he pops on & off the breast over and over, constantly distracted.. ALL of this while breastfeeding.. it’s driving me CRAZY!! I’m almost ready to be done with nursing.. I don’t want to co-sleep at all because of it and it makes it next to impossible to feed him in public. Is this normal and will pass? It’s so irritating.
