When to tell

When did you tell your bestie? We're waiting to tell the world until after the first trimester but I feel like I cant wait that long to tell my best friend.

I told my best friend before I told my husband. She was working down the street from my house and I actually drove over there and told her in person. I then went to kohl’s...bought a cute outfit and went home and told my husband.

I told mine right after I told my husband. We don’t keep anything from each other.

So with my first I waited until 8 weeks when I could see her in person and show her the US. With my 2nd and 3rd pregnancies (both ended in miscarriages) I told her right after I got the positive test. With my 4th and current pregnancy, I told her at 7 weeks after my US confirmed everything looks good :)

Found out around 6 weeks, told her around 8, and my parents around 9. I wanted to wait to tell her until after I'd told my parents, but knew she'd know when I didn't order a drink at dinner.

I told my best friend when we hung out after my BFP. we go to happy hour once a week so it would have been hard to come up with like 10 weeks worth of excuses as to why I’m not drinking.

Right after I told my family. I found out on April 30th. I wanted to tell them right away but I decided to wait until Mother’s Day weekend, a week or so later. I waited longer to tell coworkers and to announce on Facebook though. I think I waited until my 10 week ultrasound.

I told my bestie the weekend I found out because I had to order a bridesmaid dress for her wedding that weekend...her wedding date was 6.5 months out...didn’t know how big I would be! Ended up not that big and had to have a tailoring done!

I’m telling mine around the time we tell our parents (12-13 weeks). I’m not publicly announcing until 17-18 weeks though.
