Possible reflux?

My 3 week old was doing the normal newborn things, sleeping and waking every 2-3 hours both day and night to feed. The last 5 days she has been fussy during feedings and even screams and cries after. She is making loud grunting noises too and her spit up has increased. Sometimes she is inconsolable and she hasn’t slept in 2 days and now is overtired making it even harder for her to go and stay asleep. I feel so bad because I know she’s in pain. Any other moms have a reflux baby?

My son was the same way. His problem ended up being alot bigger than reflux and he needed surgery at 3mos but usually they can give you something for baby. They had him on Liquid Zantac and it seemed to work.

Sounds likes my LO, she was put on Prevacid last week and it has made a huge difference! She is sleeping again and no longer seems like she is in pain all the time. She is still spitting up a lot but doesn't scream when she spits up.

My son is 5 weeks and has silent reflux. He gags in his sleep and it would wake him up, he does not spit up a lot but when he does he is not happy. He doesn’t like laying on his back, only sitting upright or on his stomach. He was on Zantac until the recall and I am picking up his Pepcid today. I’m hoping I notice a difference. With zantac he seemed better for about a week then his symptoms came back. Also look into her formula if that’s what  she eats, or your diet if you’re breastfeeding. Your LO could have a dairy intolerance which can cause the reflux. Also, keep her sitting upright for at least 30 mins after her feeding, just so her stomach can digest some of the food making less spit up :)

My baby went through something similar, he is now 5 weeks. We monitored for awhile but he seemed so uncomfortable so we’re doing Prevacid since Zantac was recalled. He’s doing better and it hasn’t even been a week yet.
