ugh so I have the mirena iud and now I never want to have sex, and when I do I never can orgasm anymore, and afterwards i’m always super crampy leading into the next day. could it be from the iud? I’m only 18 and feel like I shouldn’t be having these problems especially never wanting to have sex anymore...

i had the iud for about 2 years and experienced the same thing, and when I was in the mood, it almost always hurt to have sex :/ i would say its most likely your iud. I had mine removed because it made me gain a copious amount of weight and gave me cystic acne. but, nothing is wrong with you!! it happens to a lot of women. i would contact your gyno for further guidance if it is something that's really bothering you or your relationship(s).

I lost all sex drive on my iud. I had it removed because of constant spotting. As soon as it was removed my sex drive returned. Sex I had with the iud was not pleasurable.
