New to clomid

Would love to hear experiences of those who took/are taking clomid for long cycles- not due to pcos.

My Dr just prescribed me my first round of clomid. My husband and I have been trying for a 3rd baby with no luck. I have a son and daughter, both conceived naturally and fairly quickly with normal cycles. After my son was born my cycle switched to avg. 37 days w/ovu usually around day 22. I know- not crazy long but because they are long-ish and I'm not getting pregnant my Dr said we could give clomid a shot.

Anyway, anyone else have an experience like this? Should I even be taking it? I do ovulate on my own so maybe we just keep trying without the meds?. 🤷‍♀️
