Bedroom door open or closed?

My daughter sleeps in her crib for naps and night sleep. During the day, I leave her door cracked open only about an inch, however at night I leave the door fully open. Does anybody crack the door at night also?

Closed fully. Babies dont need light for a good sleep bad it's better for fire prevention just in case

I have it open for naps, unless the dryer or washer is going they are right outside his door. I have it open at night because we have cats and I don't want one to get stuck in the room with him and wake him up. The house is fully dark but I can see without cutting on any lights to get to his room in the night.

I keep it closed and use an audio monitor. Then I don’t have to sneak around as much.
