Hello everyone. I came home from work today and noticed my sons belly looks like this. Is this just a reaction to a soap that has been used? Grandma gave him a bath today and she used the johnson and johnsons bed time soap.

Definitely could be. With it just on his torso like that though makes it seem more like it may be from a detergent used on his onesie. Was he wearing a onesie today? Maybe one that Grandma had at her house if she uses a different soap then you would normally? If it was bath soap or lotion I'd expect to see it on all exposed skin. But it could be either.

The water might have been too hot or he could have had a reaction to it.

Same thing happens to my LO with Johnson’s and Johnson’s soaps and lotions. Prob just a sensitivity.

Maybe my son always had a reaction to that one for some reason. No other soap, have never used it again

My kids both have similar reactions to anything scented. Try scent free soaps. Ask your peditrician for samples. We got a few sample soaps before we found lotions and soaps that didnt cause reactions.

My nephew had a bad reaction to Johnson and Johnson’s and her dr said it’s not the best thing to use on babies. Could be a detergent problem, my dad bought some kind of Tide off brand detergent and I remember having a reaction

Try a different soap. Seems like baby is sensitive to that one.
