Im such an over thinker what do you guys think

I go to this doctors office for my allergies and i have to go every week. The first day i got there i saw this reception and he is so my type, tall handsome and let me tell you his smile is everything and his voice okay let me stop. So one of the nurses asked me the other day if i had a boyfriend and i said no. And then today she came up to me and was like omg i can’t do this but can you come into this room for a sec. so i went into the room i thought she was going to take my vitals but instead she said, he’s so shy to ask you for your number he went on the patient checklist and made a copy and pointed to it and told me that he wants to talk to you you’re still single right and i giggled and i said yes and she like do you wanna give him your number i said sure. So i gave her my number on a post it and I’m over here waiting for a text. Do guys actually wait to text girls or what? I know I’m obsessing but I’ve been coming to this doctor since May and every week since then and he finally got my number. And i know theirs a boundary between patient and worker but he’s a receptionist 😭 does that count as well maybe that’s why he hasn’t texted? Or is it because he’s shy? Or is he trying not to look too desperate?
