Is this milk still ok to give baby?

I was gone longer than expected yesterday. Left baby with my mother. Was about an hour away. I needed to pump very badly so I went to a Walgreens and bought a manual pump. They didn’t have anything to sanitize with. Everything was sealed in plastic bags inside the box. I pumped almost 8 ounces. Is it still ok to give baby or do I need to dump it?

I personally wouldn’t of used it especially if you didn’t clean the pump any other way

I assume the directions on the pump say sanitize before 1st use (I know mine did) 😬 I’d probably not use it 🤷🏻‍♀️ maybe save it for a milk bath?

I was in your same situation. I was desperate and gave baby the milk. It was fine.

I’d use it 🤷🏻‍♀️ but if you are unsure put it in the freezer and label it for milk baths or teething?

I wouldn’t give it to baby. Freeze it for topical use. Just make sure the bag is clearly marked.

Yes it’s okay to give. Freshly pumped breastmilk can last 8 hours out.
