I have a cyst

I've had a cyst on my vagina lip for a few years, sometimes it hurts & sometimes it doesn't. I've noticed that my jeans irritate it every once in a while. The cyst has been very swollen & it hurts quite a bit since yesterday, I'm not sure if it's getting bigger or if it's just swollen from the jeans I wore yesterday. Should I get it checked out by a doctor? Or just let it be like I've been doing?
