Should I attempt pole vaulting? Any advice?

Hi y’all so I’m a freshman and I wanna do track this year and all my friends are trying to get me to do pole vaulting. I keep telling them no because I’m the clumsiest person alive, have trouble balancing, have very little arm strength (my core is pretty good tho), and I have pretty bad anxiety about doing riskier sports. I also don’t have a ton of experience with sports in general. I did cross country in 7th grade then quit and returned to it this year and I started boxing earlier this year. So I’m pretty hesitant about doing a sport I hear is so hard to learn, especially for someone as unqualified as me. I would appreciate learning something new tho. So does anyone have any advice or personal stories about it? Do you think I should even try it? Thanks!
