TTC after Chemical

I had a chemical pregnancy this past week. Went to doctor yesterday for bloodwork and I’m at negative levels already. Doctor said to wait until I have my menstrual cycle to try again. I KNOW I should listen but I’ve seen on here that women try right after their miscarriage or some doctors even say to count this as a menstrual cycle. Advice or experience?
