Newborn NICU Transfer

I'm currently 12 weeks with twins which means I'm high risk. The children's hospital is over an hour away from where I live but there is a hospital in my city. I've heard of people having twins at theone in my city. I had my first born at the children's hospital an hour away because most of my appointments were in that city anyways. But this pregnancy all my appointments are local. I had a precipitous labour with my first (3 hours start to finish)

I barely made it to the hospital that's why I want to have the next ones here.

But I'm worried that if I have them here and the facilities aren't good enough they'll transfer my babies to the children's hospital and not me.I don't want to be separated that faraway and need to figure out if I stay local or go to the other city.

If you've been in this type of situation did the hospital transfer you with your children? Or only your children and made you stay.
