Baby girl is on the move! Baby proofing tips?

Question

Little girl has some strong legs and is becoming better at moving which is making this mama nervous! I know we need to plug up the outlets but what else is everyone doing to baby proof their homes?

Answer

I’m blocking outlets, putting things on the corner of sharp edges and tables, moving and picking things up out of reach, and I’m putting a gate thing around the tv so she can’t pull the cords. I’m making sure all cords are out of the way and I’m going to be putting up gates to the upstairs and downstairs once she gets to where she wants to crawl the stairs 😂 I’m going to make sure things are secure so they can’t fall over on her and making sure nothing poisonous or dangerous is out. I gotta make sure nobody leaves loose change or anything down for her to get. I’m a paranoid FTM if you couldn’t tell🤦🏼‍♀️😂 I’m making sure everything is out of her reach besides her toys and things I know can’t or won’t hurt her.
Once she’s big enough to start opening cabinets or doors I’m going to be putting a lock on those. Same with the toilet because I don’t want her to get curious and play in toilet water or putting things in there like I see some kids doing😂 
I know once she gets to a certain age I will tell her no and teach her not to mess with things and do certain things but when she’s little and can’t understand, I’m going to be taking every precaution. Some of these things I won’t be doing until she’s bigger, I’m just doing simple things right now.

Answer

With my first I put cushions on the coffee table corners, gate at the steps, and that was it.
I plan to do the same with this one. But if he’s more nosey than his brother we might have to get cabinet/drawer locks.
