Don’t judge!

My boyfriend and I just started dating, and my friends really don’t think I should go out with him because he is “ugly”. I don’t think he is but hearing those words so many times really makes me feel self conscious with him, idk if that’s bitchy. I really like him but I just don’t understand what I should do about what my friends are saying. I sort of feel stuck, to me he is cute and he’s really nice and funny, but my friends only say that he is ugly and all that. What should I do? Ik this sounds really messed up but it’s really getting to me. :(
