Mom doesn’t want to be a part of the gender reveal😔

We have our gender reveal scheduled for Nov 2nd and I WAS so excited until my mom basically told me she has other things to do.

I do a lot with my husbands family and wasn’t surprised when his family took control of planning the party for me. I’m so appreciative of that. And I know my mom may be a tad jealous. But I tried my hardest to include her for the gender reveal and my entire pregnancy.

My husband is having to work mandatory Saturdays so we won’t have the actual reveal until about 5pm. And this time of year it starts getting dark around 6pm. Well I let my mom know this and she said sorry I won’t be there for the reveal I’ll be in church (we’re catholic and it’s all saints day that day) she prefers to go to church Saturday evenings over Sunday mornings. She can’t make that compromise to be there for me. Church is at 5pm and it will last over an hour. By the time she gets out it will be dark and too dark to do the reveal. But we can’t do it earlier because my husband will be in work.

Long story and lots of details as to why we don’t just reschedule, one being that I’m just too excited and honestly don’t want to 🤷🏻‍♀️ but it’s hurting my feelings so much that she can’t compromise on one thing for me💔😔 as it is my dad is working as well and won’t be there and the entire party will mostly be my husbands family and not mine.
