Breastfeeding at night
My baby is 3 days old and during the day she’s contently breastfeeding.
However at night, she’s struggling and I’ve supplemented the last 2 nights with a bottle of formula to stop her being hungry which I’d rather not be doing at choice because I don’t want to confuse her - she’s had a perfect feed from the breast this morning though.
I think it may be my posture at night, I sit in bed to feed her but I guess my posture might be off/slouchy because my stitches are extremely uncomfortable at the minute 😪 is anyone else in this position and how did you get past this? I’m going to try and bring her downstairs tonight and sit on the sofa like during the day to see if that helps.
I feel like I do have her in the right position, it’s just difficult to get her to latch because even though the nipple reaches the roof of her mouth she doesn’t close on it and shakes her head as though she’s still looking for it?
