I’m 7 weeks postpartum and my husband and I have decided we are done having kids and I’m going to have a tubal. I have already talked to my doctor and have an appointment Friday with her nurse practitioner for a consultation where they’ll schedule it and she’ll go over all the details. I’m just wondering if anyone on here has had it done (as a separate procedure) and what your experience was. How long were you in the hospital, what was your recovery like, etc. Also what “type” of tubal you had done (my doctor doesn’t cut and tie the tubes anymore, she said she burns them). I had an emergency c-section and wish it all could have been done at the same time but my son was really early. We didn’t want to rush that kind of permanent decision, especially with the stress of preterm labor and everything being so hectic. Any insight is much appreciated!!
