Conceived on metformin baby #1 and can’t with baby #2

Need any advice, please. I got pregnant with baby #1 on month 2 of metformin. Was very very shocked it happened that fast. I got on mirena for 5 years and took out last November and was on the pill until this past August.

Got put on 2000mg of metformin and I’m having a light-medium cycle every 10-14 days. Basically 2 periods per month! I’m getting so frustrated. I don’t know why it’s not working. I’ve never tried Clomid but I feel I need a normal period before I can start that.

Anyone else have the same experience?
