Baby smiles- early?

My little guy is 5 weeks today. He smiled at me last week and my husband didn’t believe it, but now it’s non-stop! I feel like it’s a little early, but regardless, it melts my whole heart!! ❤️❤️ I sure do love this little boy!

I thought it was a little early for my little girl to be smiling “real” smiles yet, but at her last appointment her pediatrician said no, it probably actually is a real social smile, especially if it seems like a reaction to her being smiled at. It is honestly the best thing I’ve ever seen and it just lights up my whole heart when she smiles at me.

My son is also 5 weeks and constantly smiles at us. He loves when we talk to him. I thought it was normal at this point to smile in response :)

My daughter has been smiling at me intentionally since just after 4 weeks old, she’s now almost 7 weeks and it still melts my heart every time! ❤️

My son is 5w6D old and he smiled at me intentionally 2 days ago. Ever since then, we get 2-3 intentional smiles a day! I’ve read that 5 weeks is when a baby can begin smiling at mom and/or dad!😊
