I’ve have so many issues with two family members who are in my bridal party. When I ask all the girls to be in my wedding I knew what dress I wanted them to wear. So a few months after I got engaged I bought food, desserts and drinks and had everyone over to do a dress party try on. I knew I wanted to get all the girls there sample dresses for them as a thank you and to make it easier for everyone and I also wanted to make it really nice for them. Now this was back in April and my wedding is in March 2020. I ask the girls back in April to have there dresses purchased by the end of November so it’s plenty enough time and there not trying to buy dresses during the busy holidays. A couple of weeks ago my cousin who is one of my bridesmaids pulls me outsides before church and starts a conversation with me like. Hey girl so have you talk to your maid of honor? who is also my cousin.I responded no why what’s up. She says girl let me know if you don’t like this idea or you don’t want me to wear this. She pulls out a sequins dress and says you know girl money is tight right now and I found this on the clearance rack at Ross do you think I can wear this as my bridesmaids dress. LISTEN 👂 I WAS SHOCKED 😳. I had no idea what to say but I think that looks too close to another bridesmaids dress and I’m not sure if it would really look cohesive with everyone else’s dresses. I felt bad and very uncomfortable about the whole situation. She tells me it’s okay I just wanted to ask I can return it. So I rush to speak with my maid of honor and she tells me yes the bridesmaids brought up the dress idea to her and she told her she didn’t think it was a good idea and that she shouldn’t ask me about it. It’s crazy how weddings can bring out the craziness in people and I’m counting down the days until I get to marry my fiancé and have all the wedding planning done. I’ve had to deal with so many crazy things from people that are my family n I really regret have two of them in my bridal party
